Monique has worked as a Benelux and European trademark attorney for 27 years and therefore has a wealth of experience in the field of trademarks, designs, trade names and copyrights. She is particularly driven and client-oriented, with a hands-on mentality.
When it comes to IP strategy, Monique sees the bigger picture and comes up with creative solutions for both the short and long term. In addition, she will provide guidance to the younger generation of attorneys, thereby also lifting the team of the future to a higher level.
Background
Monique received her law degree from Leiden University and is a BMM certified trademark attorney and EU trademark attorney. She started her professional career in IP in 1996 as an attorney at trademark agency Onel. From 2001 to 2023, she worked at Novagraaf as a senior consultant and was part of the management team. Since September 2023, Monique steps into management at Abcor and works as a senior consultant.
Memberships
Monique is a member of the BMM and ECTA. The certification BMM Certified Trademark Attorney is a certification for proeffsional qualities of IP professionals. This quality mark was created by the BMM (Benelux Association for Trademark and Design Law). At ECTA, she is (has been) active in the Supervisory Board, the EUIPO-Link Committee and the Harmonisation Committee.
