Recently the BMM (Benelux trademark association) saw a victory a lawsuit against these scammers. The record shows that one of the prime suspects has recently been assassinated! The court is harsh in its judgment. This is fraud, abuse and self-enrichment, which is seriously disrupting society and hampering trade.
Our advice is therefore: never respond or pay when an unexpected invoice arrives. Consult your authorized representative and always report fraudulent invoice to the relevant authorities.
