Fenna joined Abcor in 2017 while completing her bachelor’s degree in law. What began as a graduation project quickly grew into a permanent position on the Abcor team. After successfully completing her thesis on the grounds for refusal of figurative marks by the EU trademark authorities, she continued to work at Abcor as a Trademark Assistant. In the years since, Fenna has developed into an experienced Trademark Paralegal and aspiring trademark attorney. She manages the trademark portfolios of Mirjam de Werd and Theo-Willem van Leeuwen and also plays an important role in mentoring our paralegals and interns. Fenna enjoys serving as the first point of contact to assist clients with questions about trademark protection abroad, particularly in the U.S. market. In addition to her work, Fenna has continued her academic pursuits. She pursued a master’s degree in Law at VU University Amsterdam, which she successfully completed in early 2026 with a thesis on geographical indications within trademark law.
In her free time, Fenna enjoys tending to her houseplants, hiking in the mountains, and trying as many different wines as possible.
